Ride Starting Points

There are several standard starting points for FLCC rides, designed to avoid having to climb out of the city just to start a ride and also to extend our range further into the Finger Lakes Region.

Local rides start either on East Hill or West Hill, but there are also special starts in Lansing, Candor, Watkins Glen, etc. For this reason, be sure to check the map/cue sheet to determine the particular start location.

Below are links to the various starts to the FLCC rides:

East Hill Plaza

West Hill  (parking lot in front of ithaca oral Surgery & Implant Ctr.)

The West Hill starting place is used every Thursday for the “slow rides,” as well as for a number of Sunday rides that head off to the west or north.

Cass Park  (parking lot by Ithaca Children’s Garden)

Trumansburg Farmers’ Market

Brown Road
91 Brown Road is a good starting point for routes heading north since Route 13 is avoided.

91 Brown rd

Modern Market in Moravia

Please park as far away as possible from the entrance of the market so patrons will have plenty of room to park close.

Swan’s Cycles  (look for mailbox on north side of the road; very long driveway)

Hammond Hill  (The parking area is on Hammond Hill Rd., about 0.6 miles from the corner of Irish Settlement Rd.)

Spencer  (park next to or across the street from the Spencer library)

Time Trial parking (The parking lot of the Coddington Community center is used.) Currently, May 2016, TT are not being run.

Watkins Glen Marina (Park in the lot at the north end, by the lake, of Decatur St.)

Mecklenburg (Use the small park-and-ride lot just south of the main intersection next to NY 228.)
