Course: This year’s course is slightly different. Because of really poor pavement on Clarks Corners Rd., the course will not take the right turn on it from Parker St. Instead, proceed straight through the intersection to NY 221 and take a right there to continue on the usual route. Getting there: MAP

• The course is a 22-mile loop with 1,200 feet of climbing, two major climbs. A 23 tooth is recommended.
• Race starts at Hollenbeck’s Cider Mill, Route 392, Virgil, NY (3 miles west of Greek Peak Ski Resort). Approximately 5 miles southwest of Cortland and 15 miles east of Ithaca. Finishes up Van Donsel Road across from Cider Mill. (See MAP).
• Pre-register via BikeReg.com .
• Registration from 8:00 to 9:30 am on day of race. $15.00 for preregistration, $20.00 day of race; $12.00 for juniors (Cat 5 license fee not included).
• Race starts at 10:00 am. LAJRS event for 15-18 juniors (males w/ Junior field, females w/ W 4 or W 1/2/3) and 19-22 espoirs (race in their category). Rollout required for all juniors. See www.jru23cycling.info, and specifically, “Junior Gear Restrictions” (PDF). ANSI approved helmet required for all races. Race promoter reserves the right to combine fields or change distance depending on weather and turnout.
• Prize money ($15.00 return of entry fee) for first three places in each category. If fewer than 10 in category, payout to top 2 places. No payout for tandem. Food (famous cookies!) and refreshments provided for all riders and volunteers. T-shirts or water bottles for race volunteers.
