An informal evening of food and fun where we can hear about some of the bike touring adventures that our club members and supporters have experienced over the past cycling season, and dream about new adventures for 2010. We have begun planning for the 2010 season with new week-long routes, weekend trips, and other cycling adventures. Come to the dinner to add your ideas and let us know how we can make another great FLCC touring year.
What: 3rd Annual FLCC Off-Season Bike Touring Get-Together/Dinner
When: Saturday February 6, 2010 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Where: Wildfire Restaurant (formerly Lost Dog Cafe), 2nd floor lounge, 106 S Cayuga St, Ithaca, NY. On-street parking or in the Cayuga St municipal garage (entrance on S Cayuga St, between E Green St and E Clinton St).
Who: This is open to all FLCC members and supporters and their families. Non-members are also welcome to attend. Members of other cycling clubs are welcome.
Bring: The club is buying assorted appetizers, but you should also bring money for the cash bar and to purchase additional food. See the dinner menu at http://www.wildfire-restaurant.com/ . They have burgers, comfort food, and vegetarian options, at a cost of $8 and up. Also bring bike trip photos (optional).
Program: We are providing a fun atmosphere to exchange stories about bike touring and make personal and group contacts. We will start off with a brief presentation about some of the FLCC Touring Group organized tours, and then quickly move on to individual presentations. We will have a computer and LCD projector and screen to display digital photos. Bring a CD, DVD, or memory stick with your bike touring photos. Please choose your 10 best photos for presentation. This limit of 10 photos per person will keep the presentations short and allow more time for socializing and brainstorming about future bike tours.
New for 2010: A variety of door prizes donated by local bike shops. (You must be present to win).
